My husband is Korea and I am an English Speaking American. We have our first baby due to be born in April. I am trying to find if there are classes provided here so I can learn to communicate properly. I am also concerned that while in hospital and postpartum care that I will not be able to communicate or understand well. Advice is greatly appreciated. I currently rely on translation software.

Multicultural Family Support Centers operating in each regions across the country provides marriage immigrants with competency reinforcement support courses ( Group Korean education) or conducting visiting Korean language education program with payment for marriage immigrants who have been in Korea for less than 5 years.
Basically, Group Korean education is a program for marriage immigrants who can speak intermediate level Korean, And those who are at the beginner level must take the Social Integration Program under the Ministry of Justice.
